With the NFL Schedule one day away, the NFL continues to reveal nuggets for some prime-time games. The Chiefs will open the season in Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers. In exchange, KC will host the Denver Broncos on Christmas Night!

The Kansas City Chiefs are the gift that keeps giving for the NFL. As the ratings showed a year ago, if Patrick Mahomes is in prime time, ratings generally rise to record levels. However, the NFL, particularly Commissioner Roger Goodell, indicated that he denied the Chiefs’ request to be a permanent fixture at home on Christmas Day.
Well, the Chiefs will now be a participant on Christmas Day for the third season in a row when they face divisional rival the Denver Broncos. It will also be the last game of the magical holiday, and fans can see it on Prime!

It’s a significant game for the Chiefs and Broncos because the winner might seal the deal in the AFC West. Arguably, heading into the 2025 season, these are the top teams in the division, so this is a monumental clash.
The rest of the NFL Schedule will be released Wednesday night, but leaks generally occur throughout the day. Still, the Chiefs are a hot commodity to get the opening Friday game and Christmas Day on the schedule.
