No team is more popular than the Kansas City Chiefs regarding the NFL schedule. Later today, the NFL will announce its full 2025 schedule, but this morning, the league announced that the Chiefs will travel to Dallas to face the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day.

When it sees it, the NFL knows a good thing, and the Kansas City Chiefs are the hot ticket. With their opener set for Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers, and a Christmas night game in Kansas City versus the Denver Broncos, the NFL scored a trifecta when they announced the Chiefs would face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.
The Week 11 game will be on CBS, and they must be ecstatic that they get the Chiefs in another of their prime time slots. The Cowboys should be a better team on paper than a year ago, but the NFC East is a formidable division.
Last season, the Chiefs appeared in eight primetime and streaming games; they won all of them. In each contest, they smashed ratings records, so it’s simple to understand why the Chiefs already had three primetime slots before the official release of the 2025 schedule.

With the Royals on the road in week two, our friend Jordan Schultz has learned the Super Bowl LIX rematch will be against the Philadelphia Eagles on Fox Sports at Arrowhead.

The remainder of the schedule will arrive at 7:00 PM CST this evening, but we can already guess the Chiefs will be on the road for week three. The Kansas City Royals host the Seattle Mariners for a weekend series, so they’ll be on the road in week three.
A schedule leak has the Chiefs traveling to New York in week three to face another NFC East team, the Giants. Per Jordan Schultz, that contest will be on Sunday Night Football, another Prime-Time NFL slot for Kansas City.

However, the Royals are on the road in week two, so the Arrowhead opener will likely be Sunday, September 14th.
The Chiefs’ demanding schedule includes other home games against the Baltimore Ravens, Washington Commanders, Houston Texans, and Detroit Lions, so it’ll be interesting to see how many of those get prime-time slots.
