Though he practiced for the second straight week, Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach has ruled out that starting wide receiver Xavier Worthy will play Sunday against the New York Giants. However, another injured wide receiver could be active.

After separating his shoulder in week one, Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy returned to practice the following week. Though he was listed as limited, it was good to see that the severity of the shoulder separation didn’t hinder him from participating in some drills.
Leading up to their Sunday Night showdown with the New York Giants, Head Coach Andy Reid has ruled out Worthy – despite practicing all week.

Instead, the goal will be to bring him back against the Baltimore Ravens in week four or the Jacksonville Jaguars in week five. If I were Reid, considering Rashee Rice still has to serve four more games of his suspension, this is a prudent move.
However, injured receiver Jalen Royals was a full participant this week, so it’s possible he could make his Chiefs debut against the Giants on Sunday.

In other Chiefs news, Kansas City has elevated cornerback Kevin Knowles, who had a solid pre-season. With another injury to free agent signee Kristian Fulton, the team needed another cornerback for Sunday’s game in New York.
This is a must-win for the Kansas City Chiefs if they want to stay relevant in the AFC. After two straight losses, at some point, the ball has to bounce in the Chiefs’ favor.
