Kadarius Toney’s Time in a Chiefs Uniform Has Ended

The Kansas City Chiefs started purging their roster on Monday, and on Tuesday, leaks are pouring out about both Wide Receivers Kadarius Toney and Justyn Ross. That means Nikko Remigio and Skyy Moore have a chance at the final 53.

Well, it was inevitable. After attempting to trade Kadarius Toney for over a week, the Kansas City Chiefs finally cut the cord with the former first-round draft pick, per @Schultz_Report. Now he’s a free agent, and there are already rumblings he could be headed to the Arizona Cardinals.

The Chiefs gave the talented wide receiver every chance to succeed, but he did not realize his potential with Kansas City. Now he’ll get another NFL chance to show he can still be a productive player.

Another promising wide receiver, Justyn Ross, has also been cut. Though he showed flashes of potential, Ross couldn’t get into a groove offensively. I don’t think he’s a candidate to be added to the practice squad. Sources tell ChiefsBlitz.com he’s likely headed to the Jacksonville Jaguars to be reunited with his Clemson Quarterback, Trevor Lawrence.

In other news, the Chiefs have also cut Tight End Irv Smith, Jr. and Running Back Deneric Prince. The roster is thinning, but the final cuts won’t be revealed until 3:00 CST.
