With NFL Free agency opening Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs have yet to add any new players, but they did bring back a key special teams performer.

The Kansas City Chiefs will enter 2024 with a new Punter, Matt Araiza, who signed last month. Tommy Townsend will not re-sign with the team. The team re-signed Long Snapper James Winchester per Chiefs Digest Publisher @MattDerrick.
This will be his 10th season in a Chiefs uniform. He took over the duties from Kendall Gammons to become one of the best long snappers in the NFL.

The ultra reliable Winchester, who hasn't missed a game in his career, will be back for season No. 10 in Kansas City.
Thus far, the Chiefs have been aggressive in free agency, retaining Linebacker Drue Tranquill, Defensive Tackle Chris Jones, and now Winchester.
