Sunday night football is about to get exciting again as fans will see the Kansas City Chiefs battle against the Green Bay Packers. A matchup as old as time. It will be an exciting time for both teams, as each is looking to the playoffs. The Chiefs will no doubt get in, and Green Bay needs to win this game and the rest of the games left in their season.
Despite having quite a few players on the injured list, Green Bay is waiting for the arrival of the Chiefs. This season, Patrick Mahomes has thrown nine interceptions and had two fumbles. The Packers were able to force Jared Goff to turn over the ball three times. In the games the Chiefs have lost this season, the Chiefs turned the ball over eight times. Five of those occurred in the game against the Denver Broncos. If they hope to win, the Packers must put pressure on Mahomes and take away his favorite target, Travis Kelce.
Mahomes has not looked quite like himself for most of the season; however, it is not entirely his fault. It was great to see the Chiefs look like the Chiefs of last season against the Raiders, but division rivalries bring out the best sometimes. The question is if Kansas City can capitalize on it and continue to grow back into the team their fans love and adore.
The Packers are coming into the game looking for the opportunity for the postseason. After a miserable start, things have turned around. They are a banged-up team and are not on the same page as the Chiefs, despite any improvements in play they have had. Last week’s game against the Detroit Lions was one of their better games, and the Packers looked like an impressive team in their win over the Lions. Defeating Kansas City would put the Packers in a great position to make the playoffs. Even if they lose, the rest of their schedule this season makes the playoffs still an attainable goal.
The Chiefs are favored to win the game. Neither team is invincible, but we’ll have the opportunity to see who will execute better and, in reality, who wants the win more.

The Chiefs are favored to win the game. They have averaged 24.3 points per game in the last nine games and are scoring points on more than 40% of possessions. Green Bay looks to be on a roll, and Jordan Love is playing better than he was earlier in the season, and he’s taking better care of the ball. Both teams have the opportunity to take the game.
What To Watch For
The offensive line for the Packers will need to keep Kansas City’s defense away from Love. Kansas City will be looking to pressure, and the offense for the Packers is built well enough to give Love time. It will be interesting to see how it will play out. Love has looked more comfortable, so this will be a good test of the growth we have seen over the last four or five games. Despite not having Aaron Jones, they should be able to utilize players like Jayden Reed. How will Love handle the blitzes sent his way?
The Chiefs hold their future in their hands. If the game is close going into the fourth, the experience of the Chiefs’ offensive line should get them through. It’s hard to choose against Kansas City, especially when their defense is working at its finest. It will also be interesting to see if the Chiefs utilize Rashee Rice like they did against the Las Vegas Raiders.
