There are some big-time matchups this weekend in the NFL. The point spreads have some obvious choices and some not-so-easy choices if you plan to bet on your team or play a five-game parlay. Either way, here’s a nudge or two to help you in playing the point spread.
Last Week 2-2-1 YTD 8-6-1
ATLANTA -1.5 @ NY JETS
Difficult to take road favorites, but the Jets have scored 10 offensive touchdowns ALL YEAR! Falcons are leading their division and it looks like Arthur Smith is finally running the offense through Bijan Robinson and the defense is good enough.
TAKE THE FALCONS -1.5
TENNESSEE +1 vs INDIANAPOLIS
This might be a tough watch. The Titans are undefeated ATS and straight up at home. I don’t trust Minshew on the road without Jonathan Taylor, especially as a favorite. Titan up baby!
TAKE THE TITANS +1
WASHINGTON +9.5 vs MIAMI
Miami as a nearly double-digit road favorite is not a value proposition. They struggled at home last week versus the Raiders and a rookie QB. They also lost their best pass rusher Jaelen Phillips to injury. Commanders were embarrassed on Thanksgiving so, they had some extra time to be ready.
TAKE THE COMMANDERS +9.5
LA RAMS -3.5 vs CLEVELAND
The Browns QB situation is a mess but it appears veteran Joe Flacco will start Sunday. The offense could barely break double figures in Denver last week. Plus, Myles Garrett is hurting. The Rams are rounding into shape and making a playoff push They’ve found a running game and Stafford looks healthy enough to put some TDs on the board.
TAKE THE RAMS -3.5
SAN FRANCISCO -2.5 @ PHILADELPHIA
In what might be the NFC game of the year, this looks like an obvious play on the home dog…not so fast! The Niners have extra rest from playing on Thanksgiving and the Eagles are coming off two very difficult comeback wins over the Chiefs and the Bills. This has a feeling of Ali vs Frazier in the 70’s and the winner could get a front-row seat to Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII. The Niners win when they have all their weapons.
TAKE THE 49ers -2.5
Let’s go get this money gang!
