With Mandatory Mini-Camp set for Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs signed the remainder of their 2026 draft class. First-round picks Mansoor Delane and Peter Woods signed record deals in Kansas City, as both are expected to appear this week for Andy Reid and the coaching staff.

The Kansas City Chiefs had to make some contract adjustments to get their 2026 first-round picks signed and under the NFL Salary Cap. Earlier on Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs signed Clemson Defensive Tackle Peter Woods to a four-year, $18 million contract that is fully guaranteed.
A few hours later, the Chiefs announced they had come to terms with the sixth overall pick, LSU Cornerback Mansoor Delane, on a four-year contract worth $41.9M, fully guaranteed. His signing means the Chiefs have completed all the contracts for their 2026 draft class.

The Chiefs have signed their first-round defensive standout Peter Woods to a 4-year, $18 million fully guaranteed contract, per Adie von Gontard and Ray Haija of @ymapaasports.

Early returns from Mini-Camp have been solid for both Woods and Delane. Last week, position coaches raved about their playmaking skills and noted how quickly they adjusted to the pace of OTA’s. Though it won’t be anything like training camp. Neither Woods nor Delane is afraid of hard work.
Delane is already penciled in as a starter opposite Nohl Williams. The team signed L’Jarius Sneed to a one-year deal Monday afternoon, but his addition should be viewed as a positive depth piece for the Chiefs’ defense.

Woods, who will likely become the replacement for Chris Jones when he hangs up his cleats, has been a destructive force in practice. It’ll be interesting to see how he adjusts with pads and whether the power he’s displayed is slowed when facing his offensive teammates.
