When the Kansas City Chiefs arrived in Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon, the team updated its injury report for its Monday Night Showdown with the Jaguars. After coming back last week, it appears that Xavier Worthy isn’t a lock to play in this big AFC showdown.

Last week, Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy returned to the team with a big performance against the Baltimore Ravens. He led the team in both rushing and receiving. After the game, he said he was happy to be back.
However, after the team arrived in Jacksonville, Head Coach Andy Reid updated the team’s injury report. Worthy, who was a full participant all week, was added with a shoulder and ankle injury. He was listed as questionable on the final injury report.
He joins Cornerback, Kristan Fulton, and defensive tackle Omar Norman-Lott. However, the loss of Worthy would be a big blow to the Chiefs’ offense. His presence opened up the entire playbook, and the Chiefs delivered their best offensive performance of the season, scoring 37 points against the Ravens.

The Chiefs injury report just dropped a BOMB: Second-year WR Xavier Worthy is now questionable for tomorrow night's Monday Night Football game with both a shoulder AND a new ankle injury.

With Rashee Rice still two games away from making his 2025 debut, Worthy’s return last Sunday was the shot in the arm the Chiefs needed to get their offense back on track.
Now, his inclusion on the injury report, which mentions an ankle injury, is not all that surprising, given that last week was his first week of action since his injury in game one. So, we don’t know the severity, but if he felt uncomfortable when they arrived at the team hotel, the Chiefs are obligated to add him to the injury report.
Stay tuned to ChiefsBlitz.com for the latest on the Worthy injury and his status to play Monday Night.
