Chiefs Day Three Mock Draft

With three rounds down and four new draft picks in hand, the Kansas City Chiefs embark on the final day of the 2025 NFL draft. They have various needs still to fill, and fortunately, if they can find two hidden third-day gems, this draft will be a success.

On Friday, the Kansas City Chiefs focused on defense, drafting Defensive Tackle Omarr Norman-Lott from Tennessee, Edge Rusher Ashton Gillotte from Louisville, and trading up to land Cornerback Nohl Williams from California. With these three impressive draft picks, the defense received a boost under Steve Spagnuolo.

Today, though, the Chiefs need to focus on their offense.

So, who will they draft today?

Round 4 (Pick 133) RB Dylan Sampson (Tennessee) – Though I love Devin Neal from Kansas, Sampson is the choice here. He’s an impressive runner whom I expected the Chiefs would draft in the third round. He possesses speed and vision and can catch the ball out of the backfield. I’m not sure why he’s slipped, but NFL teams are seeking bargains, and Sampson is the best of them.

Round 5 (Pick 164 via Eagles) Nick Nash (San Jose State) – The Kansas City Chiefs could use more size at the wide receiver position, and Nash has that. He also possesses playmaking abilities and caught 16 touchdown passes last season for the Spartans. He made an impressive jump from his 2023 stats and would be a perfect fit for the Chiefs.

Round 7 (Pick 226) DT Nazir Stackhouse (Georgia) – The value for the Chiefs in the seventh round emphasizes the advantage of adding a highly talented defensive tackle. Stackhouse is a playmaker who can stuff the run and would be a solid backup in Kansas City.

Round 7 (Pick 251) TE Jalin Conyers Texas Tech – The Chiefs need additional depth at the tight end position while they wait for Jared Wiley to recover from a torn ACL mid-season. Although he isn’t the top tight end available, the Red Raiders will have a strong supporter in Quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Round 7 (Pick 257) S Rayuan Lane III (Navy) – This young man displays exceptional playmaking ability and confidence. He would become an instant depth chess piece for the Chiefs’ secondary. He possesses speed, intelligence, and an instinct for the football.
