It’s Friday Night Lights NFL Draft style, and the Kansas City Chiefs have three picks to unveil this evening. So, Chiefs fans, get ready for an exciting Day Two of the NFL Draft because General Manager Brett Veach will be cooking up the next wave of recruits.
The Chiefs grabbed their most significant need by taking Josh Simmons on Thursday. Now, they need to fill in other areas of need. With picks 63, 66, and 95, the Chiefs have a chance to add some serious talent to their roster.
At 63, they could grab a safety like Nick Emmanwori from South Carolina, known for his hard-hitting style, or Xavier Watts from Notre Dame, a ball hawk with excellent coverage skills.
At pick 66, the Chiefs might target a wide receiver. Jayden Higgins from Iowa State offers a big target with reliable hands, while Savion Williams from TCU is a smooth route runner with red-zone prowess.
However, they could select Wide Receiver Isaiah Bond from Texas, who brings speed to stretch the field.
Finally, at pick 95, the Chiefs could bolster their defensive line with either Ty Robinson or Deone Walker. Robinson is a run-stopping force, while Walker offers versatility as both a run defender and pass rusher.
Or, they could shake things up and go running back, selecting either Quinshon Judkins from Ohio State or Ollie Gordon II from Oklahoma State.
