On Saturday, Head Coach Andy Reid announced that wide receivers Kadarius Toney, Mecole Hardman, Jerrick McKinnon, and Donovan Smith had been ruled out for the Chiefs on Monday.
Even with an extra day off, the injury bug continues to hit the Kansas City Chiefs. Head Coach Andy Reid announced struggling wide receiver Kadarius Toney (Hip), Mecole Hardman (Thumb), Jerrick McKinnon (Groin), and Donovan Smith (Neck), won’t play Christmas Day against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The loss of McKinnon is a big one for the Chiefs. However, Isiah Pacheco will be active on Monday, boosting Reid on offense. The thought heading into the week was that Hardman would be able to play Monday, but he’s not ready.
For Toney, the injuries keep mounting. I’m sure with the fact he’s struggling, the Chiefs are being strategic in shutting him down this week. He’s had nagging injuries all season, and the extra rest can’t hurt.
Justyn Ross could be activated for this game, and there are strong indications that James Ritchie will get increased playing time against the Raiders.
