Before the Kansas City Chiefs departed for Las Vegas ahead of their game Sunday against the Raiders, the team announced several roster moves. The Chiefs placed Wide Receiver, Mecole Hardman on injured reserve, which means he has to sit out four games.

The team also announced that Wide Receiver, Kadarius Toney will not play Sunday with an ankle and hip injury. Toney did participate in practice this week and was going to be the primary return man for the Chiefs in Las Vegas. Toney was a full participant in practice this week.
It would appear now that either Skyy Moore or recently activated wide receiver, Richie James could return kicks and punts for the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.

To fill their roster spots, Kansas City announced that they’ve called up Wide Receiver, Montrell Washington and Running Back, La’Mical Perine from the practice squad.
Chiefs will be down Kadarius Toney and Mecole Hardman on Sunday vs. Raiders but still have five active receivers: Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Justin Watson, Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice and Richie James.

Kansas City is already thin at wide receiver, but Andy Reid has always preached next man up. We’ll see on Sunday if a struggling wide receiver unit can offset the losses of Hardman and Toney.
