On Saturday Night, the Kansas City Chiefs easily defeated the Arizona Cardinals 38-10. Though the offense struggled out of the gate, they came on strong after KC’s young receivers started making plays. So many players stood out, and despite the lack of pass rush, this team once again showed off their overall depth.
In this edition of the Chiefs Blitz Podcast on YouTube, it was clear Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach, Andy Reid, wanted to get his young wide receivers as many snaps as possible – they did not disappoint. Led by Rookie, Rashee Rice, and Ihmir Smith-Maresett, this unit now runs eight receivers deep.
On the defensive side of the ball, though the sacks didn’t pile up, the starters played with more emotion than they did a week ago against the Saints. For the second straight week, the back-ups made plays that allowed the offense to get back on the field.
Still, this team has to find a way to get Chris Jones back in the fold and create more pressure in the front four, if they want to take advantage of KC’s high-flying offense.
So who stood out, we discuss that on the latest edition of the Chiefs Blitz Podcast on YouTube!
