Kansas City Chiefs TIght End Travis Kelce has won Super Bowls, had a Hall of Fame Career, and might be the most recognized boyfriend in the world. He is the game’s best tight end, but his work off the field, including his charitable endeavors, is second to none. On Thursday, he is one of 32 NFL players up for the Man of the Year Honors.
Travis Kelce has been a man among boys on the football field. His stellar 11-season career has made him wealthy. He’s collected Super Bowl hardware, and he’s a lock to be enshrined in Canton, Ohio, for the first time. His relationship with Taylor Swift has brought his popularity to an all-new level.
Off the field, his 87 and Running Charity focuses on giving back to those who haven’t had the opportunities that have made Travis Kelce a household name. He’s never forgotten his Cleveland Heights roots
As one of 32 NFL players, he’ll be eligible to win the Walter Payton NFL Player of the Year. The announcement will come on the eve of Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
Anyone that knows Travis Kelce says the same thing. Despite his success and popularity he remains grounded. He’s an Ohio boy who has been adopted by the city of Kansas City, and they consider him one of them. That love affair between player and city is the reason he started his foundation. He’s so appreciative of the chance the Chiefs gave him, that Kansas City will always be a part of his DNA.
To receive this honor though woud be fitting for Kelce in what could be his last season in the NFL.
If the Chiefs Three-Peat and Kelce wins this most prestigice honor, I can’t see what else he has to accomplish in the NFL. His New Heights Podcast is at the top of his game, he’s acting in televeiion shows and movies, plus he’s dating Taylor Swift in the public eye.
Eventually, he will put the gridiron behind him, so why not go out on top? Until then, he’s focused on the Los Angeles Chargers and getting ready for another high-pressure playoff run.
Still, this is a great honor.
