Chiefs Designate Pacheco and Omenihu to Return

The Super Bowl Champs will get some fresh bodies for the stretch run. Rumors suggest that both Isiah Pacheco and Charles Omenihu will be designated for return.

Over the next three weeks, the Kansas City Chiefs will be forced to make a couple of roster moves. On Tuesday, Jordan Schultz, with the Schultz Report, broke the news that the team will designate Running Back Isiah Pacheco and Defensive End Charles Omenihu to return from injury.

This means that the 21-day window for both players officially opens, and within that time frame, both players will be elevated to the active roster.

For Pacheco, this would be a speedy recovery from the broken fibula he suffered in week two against the Cincinnati Bengals. The news on Omenihu is excellent, considering he tore his ACL in the January AFC Championship game.

Another wounded warrior is set to practice again on Wednesday. Wide Receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was not placed on injured reserve, so it’s possible he could play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Head Coach Andy Reid told the media on Monday that he was very close to being able to practice.

All three players are key for the Chiefs as they head into the stretch run. Still, this might not be the only good news ahead. Both Wide Receiver Hollywood Brown and Cornerback Jaylen Watson could return at some point in December.
